"Max" receives a Movieguide Award

On February 5th, 2016, "Max" was named one of the Best Family Movies of 2015 at the Movieguide Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Universal City Hilton.  Sheldon Lettich stepped up on the stage to accept the award.

"Bloodsport" was screened at the Laemmle Theater in North Hollywood, California on Thursday, February 11th, 2016.  Sheldon Lettich did an introduction, and then an audience Q&A following the movie.

 


"Max" screening at GI Film Festival, San Diego

"Max" was screened for an enthusiastic audience in the hangar of the USS Midway on October 16th, 2015.  In the photo Sheldon Lettich poses with "Jagger," one of the six Belgian Malinois dogs that portrayed the title character in the movie.

"MAX"

A feature film about an MWD -- Military Working Dog -- whose handler is killed in Afghanistan.  The handler's family adopts the dog -- named "Max" -- and brings him back home to Texas.  When the family is threatened, the dog comes to the rescue.

The movie was released nationwide by Warner Brothers on June 26th, 2015, and then released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 27th.  By the end of summer the total US theatrical box office gross was $43 million.  The novelization sold over 100,000 copies.  Two back-to-back sequels are currently in development, as well as a series of books which will be published by Harper-Collins.

The following photo was taken in June of 2014 when Sheldon Lettich and his wife, Toni, visited the set in North Carolina.  The dog between them is "Jagger," one of the six Belgian Malinois dogs that were portraying the title character.

Alamo Drafthouse screening - Texas

35mm prints of "Lionheart" and "Only The Strong" were screened at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz in Austin, Texas, on Sunday, February 8th, 2015.  There were Q&A's with Sheldon Lettich before and after both movies, and a Capoeira "roda" before the screening of "Only The Strong.".

LIONHEART screening - Germany

On March 11th, 2015 there was a screening of the Director's Cut of "Lionheart," ahead of the 25th Anniversary Blu-ray release.  The movie was digitally projected onto a big theatrical screen at the Cineplex Kassel in Kassel, Germany.  Sheldon Lettich and Harrison Page did a Q&A with the audience afterwards, and then signed autographs for fans who had converged from all over Europe.

"Van Damme Double Dip" - Los Angeles

In May, 2014, there were three nights of a double bill featuring "Double Impact" and "Bloodsport" at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles.  Each night there was a lively Q&A with the audience during the intermission.
